WalkSafe Rooftop Walkways

WalkSafe is a BBA-certified anti-slip rooftop walkway system that creates a safe, demarcated route across rooftops. It consists of anti-slip panels supported on pedestals that raise the walkway above the roof surface, protecting the waterproofing membrane while guiding workers safely between access points and plant equipment.

Yes. WalkSafe is designed for use on all major roofing systems including flat roofs, profiled metal roofs, and built-up felt roofs. The pedestal system is adjustable to accommodate different roof profiles and falls.

WalkSafe panels are manufactured from recycled uPVC and have a design life in excess of 25 years. They are rot-proof and impervious to water, frost, insects, fungi, and algae, making them suitable for the most demanding rooftop environments.

Not necessarily. A walkway system creates a safe route across the roof but does not provide fall arrest protection if a worker steps off the walkway. In many cases, a walkway is used in combination with a cable lifeline system to provide both a safe route and continuous fall protection.

In most cases, rooftop walkway systems on commercial and industrial buildings do not require planning permission. However, we recommend checking with your local planning authority for listed buildings or buildings in conservation areas.
